In the Fall of 2010, after a two year hiatus, a number of First Nations and Métis writers approached the Saskatchewan Literacy Network Inc. to revive the Festival and ensure its longevity. The process of incorporation of the Ânskohk Aboriginal Writers’ Circle Inc. has begun and the Ânskohk Aboriginal Writers’ Festival is the main event. The board is formed of talented and knowledgeable representatives from the literacy and literary communities. Lisa Wilson from the Gabriel Dumont Institute, Jenifer Bishop from the Saskatchewan Native Theatre Company, Deneen Gudjonson who was instrumental in the creation of the event many years ago who now works for the Saskatchewan Jazz Festival, Della Anaquod from SIAST, Louise Halfe, author, Florence McLeaod, Elder and Carol Vandale, Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Aboriginal Literacy Network.
